Health centers all over the country offer seasonal flu shots at convenient locations. Although there is so much fuss about getting flu shot, many people prefer not to get flu shots for various reasons.
Why flu shot?
Fall is the season when there is great variation in the temperature levels. When the temperature level goes down bacteria and virus become active to attack humans and cause diseases.
It is the season when the influenza virus is active and cause cold, flu fever and other health hazards.

People who are at higher risk and need flu shot
1) People who are above 50 years and children between 6 months and 5 years of age
2) People who are residing at long-term care centers or move about in such places
3) Adults and children who have chronic diseases and are weak in their immune system
4) Family caregivers and people who are involved in health services
The following people should not get flu shot or should consult a doctor before getting the flu vaccination
1) People who are allergic to vaccination or experienced complications after getting a flu shot
2) People who are seriously ill and taking some medication
Flu is a dangerous illness that can cause lifelong effects. It is always better to consult the family doctor and be cautious about the consequences of seasonal changes.
